Ko te whakarite rautaki

Ko te whakarite i te mahere rautaki

E hia kē nei ngā ara ki te whakarite mahere rautaki.  Kua kitea e mātou tētahi ara nā Jim Collins e kīia nei ko te “hedgehog concept”.  He pai mō ngā tini momo tarahati, ahakoa he nui, he iti rānei.

The hedgehog concept will help you create a one page overview of your strategy, which can be supported with other plans, policies and processes. It involves assessing 3 key areas:

  1. What are owners and trustees passionate about?
  2. What can we do better than anyone else?
  3. What's in our engine to drive our mahi?

The kōrero in working out these areas will help you define the vision for the trust.

It's very important to bring owners on the journey when you're developing the strategy — the more you work together, the stronger and more unified your vision will be.

Some trusts might want to bring in a specialist to help with creating the strategic plan. Talk to our regional advisors or kaimahi at Māori Land Court if you need help.
